Hackathon Purpose
The MedNest Healthcare Hackathon is an international initiative that brings together students and researchers from around the world to address current and pressing challenges in the healthcare sector. Its mission is to foster applied innovation, promote knowledge transfer, and elevate emerging talent within Biotech, Pharma, public health, eHealth, and AI-for-health ecosystems.
Who Can Participate?
This competition is open to:
- Undergraduate, master’s or PhD students in fields related to Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Bioengineering, Public Health, Medicine, Health Sciences or similar disciplines.
- Predoctoral and postdoctoral researchers affiliated with universities, research centres, or scientific institutions.
- Individual participants or teams of up to 3 members.

- Date & Time: July 2, 2025, 2025, 16:00 to 19:00 (CET)
- Format: Online (via Zoom)
Participation Guidelines
Selected participants will receive in advance a concrete challenge based on real-world issues in the biotech sector. They will be asked to develop a solution and present their proposal to a panel of experts during the event.

- Best Market-Ready Solution: Mentorship with senior healthcare professionals
- Jury Special Award: For the solution with the most significant social or global health impact
